Clow Valve had the opportunity last week to play host to the First Lego League-OskyBots.  Typically about 11 or 12 kids show up for these visits, but they were so excited about visiting Clow Valve that 14 of the 16 team members came out.  Coaches Mike Mitchell (Musco) and Kevin Schippers (Cablevey) were very complimentary of how engaged the kids were and several of the parents expressed their appreciation for the Clow Team taking time out to host this visit.

They started the tour with a general review of the Clow products and the types of machines/robots that they use to make the products.  They held a safety discussion and then they were off for their plant tour and a video of how to break test a hydrant.  Bob Bateson was on hand to answer questions after the tour and Kyle Huelsman, Jacob Riese and Conner Converse intrigued the kids with a demonstration of the 3D printer and computer modeling.

Everyone received a “squeezy hydrant” after the tour (which are always a big hit) and of course they wanted to keep their safety glasses!
